My frenx was sick.. His name is Liam Kai Zheng...
He died 9 hours later in Changi General Hospital...
He was only 19 years old this year..
Scored 2 As for his A Level...
POC in 3 weeks time...
Why??

Wad i can recall is on that thurs nite...
We were heading to the Tekong jetty around 945pm after cleaning our rifle from the field camp..
Carrying our heavy duffel bags on our back... walking in fast pace...
Den after we reached the jetty... i realised tt Liam was not feeling well...
He was walking left and right... so i asked him to put down his duffel bag n drag...

When we were about to get down from the ferry to Changi Terminal...
He was not feeling well... he was breathless... i asked my frenx to give him water...
while another mate called his family for help...

I was so helpless and guilty.. i cant help anything... he is no longer around...
He was so... so cheerful... a smile on his face always... helpful to everyone...

Mon.... 25 May 09..

Went down to his wake in Eunos... around 8plus at night...
I was feeling so down... i nv saw his parents on tt day.. only his elderest bro...
Give him offerings... and see him for his last time.. sob...

His bro told us... he was rushing back for his mom birthday on tt day...
i broke down... and also... he is a nice guy... help penpal.. someone who he dont even noe...
Saw his childhood photos too... at least he had a memorable life ... travel many countries...
realised his bro flied back from america to encounter this to his little brother...

Tue... 26 May 09...

Went to his funeral... Sims Avenue...
Whole Ninja Coy went down... he was promoted to PTE.. so what? he is not around.. =(
saw his parents there... crying... and his second bro too...

Wed...

CO talks to us about the incident again...
asked us whether we are able to go for range...
and so the range was postpone to next mon tue...

In my mind...

ARmy... had really made my LIFE...
Me myself... experience first operation in CGH...
Stealing of Rifle in Mandai Hill Camp..
Many encounters during army life... even deaths...
